Mount Cimone, 2165 metres above sea level, is the highest peak, and the one after which the whole ski area in Modena Apennines is named.
The Cimone area holds a wealth of fun snowy ski opportunities to suit anybody, from beginners to experts, from youngsters to families with kids.
The comprensorio (area), which features a total of 50 km slopes, consists of several parts:
Cimone is the largest ski area in the Tuscany-Emilia Apennines, and its over 50 km slopes are linked by modern and fast ski lifts you can use with the same skipass, without having to unbuckle!
Variety in the area equals great choice of track types: 34 downhill (red, blue, and black), 2 cross-country skiing tracks, and 3 snowcross.
At the Lago della Ninfa lake, snowboarders can experiment the adrenaline-packed “Ninfa4All” Snowpark, which you can access with the same skipass valid in the rest of the area.
Leaps and acrobatics are the main features, with ramps, jumps, rails, and step-ups for all levels; the ideal location for all freestylers, freeriders, freecarvers and racers, beginners to experts.
The comprensorio del Cimone area looks after prospective skiers not only with the kindness and friendliness of its ski instructors, but, above all, with fun baby parks dedicated to young children's winter activities: inflatable playgrounds, rubber rings and inflatable rafts for gliding on the snow, clowns, and colourful games. A baby park is great for spending a sunny day on the snow with all the family.
You can find baby parks nearby Lago della Ninfa lake, as well as at the Cimoncino ski facility.
