The Hotel San Marco is delighted to be joining forces with Friends Padel Sestola, the club that has brought padel courts to an altitude of 1,020 metres, on the most scenic grounds of the Modena Apennines.

It is a partnership between two local businesses, born out of a shared commitment to hospitality: to offer those who choose Sestola a complete holiday experience, where top-quality padel, signature cuisine and relaxation at the hotel all come together under one roof.

And for guests at the San Marco, there’s an extra perk: stay for 3 nights or more and get a free hour’s court time.

Because here you’ll find a stress-free padel holiday, with a number of key benefits:

Padel at altitude, in the mountains

The 2 floodlit outdoor pitches are situated at an altitude of 1,020 metres, with views of the Apennines as a backdrop. Fresh air, natural light and a view that enhances the enjoyment of the game.

The event runs from 8.30 am to 11.30 pm

Courts available 15 hours a day, with professional lighting for evening play. Matches cost €15 per person for 90 minutes, with rackets and balls available for hire on site.

Even in bad weather

If the weather isn’t on your side, Friends Padel has 2 indoor courts in Pavullo nel Frignano. No bookings lost due to rain.

Summer tournaments

Three events open to hotel guests: Opening Tournament in June, Midsummer Tournament in July, Summer Grand Final in August. Three opportunities to take on local players.

Chilling out after the match

After the match, you can enjoy our San Marco Ambient Spa with sauna, Turkish bath and whirlpool, the Alta Sestolina restaurant serving signature Modena cuisine by chef Matteo Soverini, and the Lounge Bar for a glass of Lambrusco at sunset.

Superb experience

We recently stayed at Hotel San Marco for 2 nights. The hotel is closely located to the bus station and surrounding shops/restaurants. Reception was lovely and spoke English very well. Upon arrival, check in was fast and our room was ready with all our request met. Room itself had a lovely view of Sestola and the bathroom was very clean & full equipped. The hotel staff are incredibly friendly and they provided a shuttle service to drove us to and from the ski site. On many occasions, hotel staff went out of their way to help us plan our vacation. We will definitely be coming back to stay at Hotel San Marco.
